I'm on vacation and needed to create something!  I had a pencil, sketchbook and photoshop on my laptop!...so fun!

Changes

This is a painting I did a couple of weeks ago.....first one of done in a very long time  I had carpal tunnel surgery in Feb. and my hand is finally feeling normal again.  I had this sketch in my mixed media journal and decided to give her some color....she went through many changes before I finished her. I was struggling with her hair, so, I took a Kate Thompson stencil with some heaving gesso and then just started dripping paint over it!  :-)

Bookworm Girl

I took a class with Tamara LaPorte called Bookworm Girl.  I have a young friend who is a librarian and she just had a baby girl!   I though this would be a perfect picture for her nursery!  Here's a link to the class.
