I bought a mixed media book by Traci Bautista, called Doodles Unleashed, and tried some of her techniques.  Loved the book! I think the art journaling bug has bit me!

Recycled Dresses

These children's dresses were made for a (re)Designed Fashion Show.  Can you believe they used to be white t-shirts?

Here is a quilt my friends and I made to raffle off for my daughter Lisa.  She is recovering from a stem cell tansplant.  Lisa is fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma for the second time.   Please keep her in your prayers.

Quilt for my daughter

This is the quilt I made for my daughter, to take with her, to the hospital where she will have a stem cell transplant. She was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in April of 2010 and has now relapsed. She will have six days of chemo and the transplant next week. She will be away from her husband and four young children for about six weeks. The hospital is an hour and a half away and they will not be able to visit her once she has the transplant. The quilt has pictures of her family, all smiling up at her, letting her know they are all there in spirit! My husband and I will be with her until she returns home.....please keep her in your prayers.

I love the Jill Maas patterns. I have had this one for about 3 years. She is adorable!

Mixed Media Art Quilt

I just finished this mixed media art quilt.  I learned the technique in a Quilting Arts show with Judy Coats Perez. She draws her images on teabags and then uses gel medium to adhere them to fabric.  

T-Shirt Quilt

I made this quilt for a graduation gift. I had never made a t-shirt quilt before. It was a fun project. Hope the young man receiving it likes it.

Patti Culea new pattern

A few weeks ago I received Patti Culea's DVD in the mail. I must say "I love it!" i have listened to it twice already! I have been a fan of her work for a long time and this is probably as close as I will ever get to taking one of her classes. There is so much information on this 5 hour DVD. It was worth every penny! The pattern for this doll was also included.
