Change for no one!

Portrait done on a gelli print background.  I drew the face and painted it on directly on the gelli print I had made. The color is a little dark from the blue and green paint in the background.  But, I think it worked! I used golden fluid acrylics and a graphite pencil to color and shade her.

Change your heart

I have spent the last few days in a hotel room.   I have my art journal, some pencils and some watercolor paint.  i took a picture of the piece I did and it turned out blurry.  So, I did a little photo editing and this was the end result....fun!

Gelli print background

I made this gelli print a while ago...wish I could remember how I did it!! I did take a picture and did some photo editing to enhance the color and I applied a filter.  I then printed it and had a toner copy made.....I glued it into my art journal and did some rubberstamping, used a stencil by Dina Wakely, printed some words and finished my page!

Be your own kind of beautiful!

I am accumulating a large pile of papers from gelli printing,  papers from cleaning off brushes and spray inks.  So, I am trying to use them for backgrounds in my collages,  This paper was very orange and pink.  I think it was from dylusion spray inks. It did bleed some, the reason for her rosy cheeks! but, it was ok!

Photoshopped!

This was a small sketch I did  while I spent a few days in a hotel.  I colored it orange with watercolors and played with colors and filters it in photoshop!

I am unique!

This piece actually started out with a gelli print background.  I had made some prints on deli paper and glued them down in my journal.  This one was pretty blue!  I sketeched out a face last weekend and decided to try and do something with it today.  I painted it a flesh tone, but, it was still pretty blue.  So, I decided, she could be blue!  I think the collged elements at the bottom are a little to dark, but, it is what is is.

Your time to Shine

This collage was a started a while ago.  I colored her face with panpastels.  She turned out a little pale so I cut her out and put her on a background that I made for something else.  I added more colore with the collaged elements and the circles.  I used watercolor crayons on her hair added some words and called her finished!

Time to Play

This collage was inspired my my mom, who passed away 14 years ago. I guess I'll never stop missing her. But, she loved to play games and cards with her grandchildren. Most of all, she loved to go to Bingo!...For you mom!

Collage

This collage was done on a painted background.  The elements were collaged on.  The face was black and white and I cut it out of my sketch book and painted  it.
