This is the second doll I've done from Ray Slater's book. It was the first time I made a wrapped doll. The instructions suggested a knit fabric, but I did'nt have anything suitable so I cut batik strips on the bias and used them. It worked pretty well. A few frayed edges but not to bad. By the time it was wrapped with other fibers you could not see any loose threads. It was a relatively quick and easy process. My hubby made the armatures for me and he got a little carried away. I now have five of them. Beter get wrapping!

She's terrific!!!!! Well done you.
I had the Ray Slater book from the library and blogged about the Stump doll I did. I was in too much of a hurry and didn't make the flat weight holder - but I will next time. I might shrink the pattern though it eats HUGE amounts of stuffing.
You hve inspired me to try the wrapped one.
Great work! Love the colors and love her face! Beautiful doll!
Your wrapped doll is beautiful! She is so colorful and her face is fabulous. I've had her book for a while but haven't had a chance to make one of the dolls, you've reminded me I have to put it at the top of my list. Great job!
